The Amazing Tiger Stretch Drive This Afternoon
Tiger Woods, grimacing with every drive off the tee and hobbling down the fairway using his golf club as a cane, came from three shots down with two holes to go to take the lead in the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego. The day didn’t start out so well for Tiger, with a troubling double bogey on the very first hole. But the final six holes were a different story. He played those six finishing holes in four under par, and that included a bogey. No one else can play golf like he does. Tomorrow will be another painful tour of the course by the world’s best golfer. Hopefully a night of icing his left knee combined with a big dose of Motrin will get him through the day. He’s never lost a major tournament when leading going into the final day and I don’t see tomorrow being any different.
