NASCAR or open-wheel racing
I try to watch NASCAR, I really do, but other than a few brief moments here and there it is incredibly boring. Round and round they go…over and over again, until somebody gets a flat tire. Then everyone goes into the pits and gets new tires and a fill up. Give me the Indianapolis 500 every time. Those open-wheel racers are what it’s all about. I can’t wait til Memorial Day weekend and the Indy 500…that’s real racing.

Don’t be badmouthing NASCAR!
You just don’t get it, and from your blog I don’t think you ever will. But here goes anyway. There’s a lot more to NASCAR than just driving around a track for 400 miles. It’s all about strategy, skill of the driver and even more important, the skill of the pit crew. I’ve been at races where the distance between the winner and second-place finisher was maybe a foot or so, and that was after going all out for 400 miles. I don’t have a problem with the Indy 500. It’s fun to watch. But it’s a big deal only once a year. NASCAR is week in and week out haul ass excitement. Give it another try and I guarantee you’ll become converted.
Actually, NASCAR babe, I do get it. I understand that NASCAR has its devoted fans, and there’s a good chance that they aren’t all a bunch of beer-drinking red necks. Everybody needs their favorites and I gladly give you NASCAR. But there’s something about those open-cockpit, open-wheel racers that add another whole level of excitement. I’ll make you a deal. I’ll watch some more NASCAR and you watch the Indy 500. Then post up here with your update. Another point of interest, there were three women drivers at Indy this year—Danica Patrick, Milka Duno and Sarah Fisher. Are there any women NASCAR drivers, or are they all named Billy Bob and Donny Joe?
Nascar is big, but can you say Danica Patrick and Milkka Dunno. HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!!
I couldn’t agree more. Danica and add a definite plus to open-wheel racing that is definitely lacking in NASCAR. Not only that, but Danica has a legitimate chance of winning the Indy 500, which to me would be a historical event. We all know the dangers caused by women drivers and its compounded on the track.
